Peggy Gallagher has been a free lance writer since 1996. Interestingly, an innocent but passionate Beanie Baby™ collector that inadvertently turned into an International authentication expert with a franchise in the USA and Tokyo, Japan! Publishing credits include hundreds of magazine and website articles, and four books. She has been a guest on NBC The Today Show and Chicago’s WGN 720 AM radio: The Steve and Johnnie’s #1 night talk show. Peggy has been interviewed and featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Smart Money Magazine, The International Herald Tribune in Paris, France, HBO Max Documentary: Beanie Mania and numerous others. An expert witness and consultant for law firms in San Diego and Chicago, United States Postal Service: fraud division, in Long Beach, California. Invited speaker to hundreds of trade shows in the United States, Canada, and England.
Peggy is a special education teacher and has attended Lewis University in Illinois, St. Joseph’s College in Indiana, St. Louis University in Missouri and spent several years teaching in the East Chicago Public Schools in Indiana, Chicago Public Schools in Illinois, Munster Public Schools in Indiana, and Scottsdale Unified School District in Arizona. Her teaching certification and membership includes: Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Learning Behavior Specialist (LBSI), Nonviolent Crises Interventionist (CPI), Common Core Mentor, Illinois Autism PDD Training, and Certified Promethean Master Educator. Professional membership includes: Council for Exceptional Children, Autism Society of Illinois, and Autism Society of America. She is proficient in Understanding by Design (UbD) Curriculum Unit Design, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Woodcock – Johnson III Achievement Test.
